Afterworkout Protein Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie!

Hope you are holding up well this winter..

To be honest I’ve been feeling the blues recently with the lack of sunlight most days, Although I’ve been pushing through it with the help of my trusty Meditation app-Headspace plus eating healthy and exercising. Read my blog here about Meditation.

I’ve been creating some Q&A videos recently and answering all your questions on health and fitness and one of the recent questions I got asked is….

‘What’s best to eat after a workout?’

So this week I am giving you the ultimate Protein packed Smoothie Recipe & Video
Me and my best friend Ela love to make it after a full on workout! Using Pulsin Protein powders, whose ethos are about using natural ingredients with no additives or sweeteners.

Protein Smoothie

This recipe has a sweet & creamy consistency with the soya protein, honey and bananas really filling you up.

It can be drank before or straight after your workout to replenish your muscles and aid muscle recovery, plus giving you a slow release of energy keeping you fuller for longer. You can also make it as an awesome quick Breakfast!

You can watch the video here, We loved making it!

Ingredients

Measurements to your preference

1-2 Bananas
2 tablespoons Soya Pulsin Protein Powder
Cup Ice, cold water or alternative milk
Teaspoon of Honey (Vegan option use Coconut sugar or Algave)
1/2-1 Cup Oats
1 Tablespoon Peanut butter

I switch between Soya, Hemp and Pea protein- of these Soya has the highest Protein content. These protein powders are non-dairy, anti-inflammatory, vegan, alkaline and easy to digest unlike Whey protein, which is a by-product of dairy. Read why I choose to cut dairy here
